It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Margaret O'Connell of Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey, who passed away on May 29, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Duignan and Loretta Duignan (Dunn); her husband Corneilius O'Connell; her brothers, George and Lawrence Duignan; and her son-in-law Douglas Smialowicz.
She is survived by: her children, Colleen Smialowicz of Hazlet, Loretta Sobin (Frank) of Union Beach, Dennis O'Connell (Sheila) of Manasquan and Ellen English (Keith) of Fanwood; her grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Caitlin, Joseph, Connor, Rory, Kristen, Caroline and Mary Rose; her great grandchildren, Riley, Emma, Jack Ryan, Benjamin and Aubrey; and her sisters, Susan Magill and Loretta Summa. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
