He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lois Scholz; and his parent John Adolph. He is survived by: his children, Patricia E. Lany (Bob) of Texas, Nancy A. Bastow (Charles) of Clayton, James E. Scholz (Randee) of Michigan and Jeffery C. Scholz (Laura) of Clayton; his stepdaughter Pamela Favretto; and his parent Mary Anna Scholz. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
