He is survived by: his wife Hilde Hoffritz Bernard; his children, Francine Bernard-Benson (Mark Benson), Evelyn Bernard-Case (Michael Case) and Frank Bernard; and his grandsons, Jason Bernard, Mark Z. Benson, James and Alexander Case. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
