He was predeceased by: his parents, Wasyl Chech and Daria Chech (Stasiuk). He is survived by: his wife Lydia Chech (Hryciw); his children, Christopher Chech, Kelly Bush (James) and Rachel Chech (David Masters); his granddaughter Naomi Bush; and his siblings, Dan Chech, Kathy Kopanaiko and Helen Kulesa.
