He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Geraldine Flaherty (Stroppa); his children, Richard P. Flaherty, Jr. and Jacqueline Flaherty; his brothers, Robert Flaherty and John Flaherty; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Lorraine, Jack Felice, Michael Stroppa, Adriane Stroppa and Marilynn Jacober. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews.
