She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William J. Shaughnessy; her children, William P. Shaughnessy and Brianna Shaughnessy; and her siblings, Karen Nilla-Smith, Gail Nilla and Alison Nilla. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walter Johnson Funeral Home (803 Raritan Rd, Clark, NJ 07066).
