He was predeceased by: his parents, John Celeste and Adaline Celeste (Cicenia); and his siblings, Madeline Celeste, Michael Celeste, Florence Macera and Helen Racano.
He is survived by: his wife Columbia Celeste (Lardiere); his children, Karen (Patrick Ruby), Joseph Jr. (Mary), Diana (Joseph Sznaza) and Mark (Loreen); his grandchildren, Jennifer (Joseph Losco), Patricia (William Bachmann), Kristen (Donald Cervellini), Kathryn (Tyler Tresslar), Olivia Sznaza, Joseph Sznaza and Chelsea Sznaza; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Alyssa Losco, Emma, Wyatt Bachmann, Clayton Cervellini, Jack, Ian and Layne Tresslar; and his sister Theresa Band.
