She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander G. McFarlane and Anna M. McFarlane (Freeman); her husband Harold Donovan; her brother Raymond McFarlane; and her son-in-law Alexander Sheara.

She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine Sheara and Margaret Ferrara (Martin); her grandchildren, Keith Sheara, Eric Sheara (Christina), Kim Eisenhower (David), Kelly Cahill (Robert) and Christine Ferrara; her great grandchildren, Ella, Christopher, Bobby, Bradley, Patrick and Benjamin; and her nieces, Lori and Audrey.
