He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hughes and Gertrude Hughes; his wife Barbara; and his siblings, Myrna and George.
He is survived by: his family NJ; his children, Kathleen and Michael (Trish); and his grandson Joseph. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (155 South Ave, Fanwood, NJ 07023). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church (1571 Martine Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076).
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked in Jerry's name to St Jude Children's Hospital.
