He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, D. S. Weerasooriya and Sri Lankan; his wife Ranjini; his daughter Rushani; his son-in-law Heath; his granddaughters, Maya and Nora Saltzman; his close friends, Marcus and Joyce Saltzman; and his siblings, Mettananda, Arawinda, Chitra Weeraratne and Kamalananda. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
