He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Maute and Helen Maute; his daughter Ingrid Filipiak; and his brothers, Frederick Maute, Robert Maute and Charles Salber.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia; his granddaughter Deanna R. Bowen (Josh); his great grandchildren, Emily and Ashliey; and his sister Ruth Diemand. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
