Joseph F. Niedermayer Obituary
Joseph F. (Joey) Niedermayer, 63, of Cinnaminson, passed away suddenly on September 19, 2020. He was the cherished husband of Teri (nee Lawrence), loving father of Laura (boyfriend Patrick), Jeff (Chrissy), Monica (fiance Mike), and Jenna Adamik (Frankie), adored brother of Kathleen Nolan, uncle of Kim Astacio (Bert), Michael, Shelly and Tricia, nephew of Tom and Barb Loftus.
Joey was the epitome of a true family man. He devoted his life to caring and providing for Teri and their children. He was happiest when surrounded by family, whether in his backyard, on a beach vacation, or at any Lawrence or Niedermayer family gathering.
Joey was a kind, generous, and genuinely nice guy. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and "never met a stranger." He was always happy and optimistic, and had a rolling belly laugh that made everyone smile. Joey loved dogs, and most days started with a long round of fetch and retrieval with his devoted yellow lab, Shelby.
He was a hard worker, driving for FedEx during the week, and working around the house or helping friends & family who needed something done on the weekends. He spent four years in the USMC and was patriotic to the core. His broad shoulders, commanding presence, and love of playing in the pool made him a favorite during summers at Pomona Swim Club. Joey loved the pool as much as the kids did, and spent hours throwing them around in the water. He was nicknamed "The Strongest Man in the World."
His last few weeks were some of the happiest of his life. He bought a brand new truck for the first time, walked Jenna down the aisle at her wedding, witnessed Monica's engagement, and spent an amazing week of vacation in Outer Banks, NC with his whole family. His loss leaves a huge hole in the lives of those who knew him. He had a positive effect on everyone he ever met and will be forever loved and missed by his friends and family.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, September 25th from 6pm to 9pm at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North and again at Sacred Heart Church in Riverton, corner of 4th and Linden, Saturday, September 26th from 9:30 to 10:50. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am with Military honors to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joey's memory to Semper Fi Fund (https://semperfifund.org) or Doggie Does Good, Inc. (https://doggiedoesgood.org).
