He was predeceased by: his father George Hilt; and his sister Jeanne C. Dempsey. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his brothers, Gerald Hilt (Diane) and Edward Hilt (Dottie); his nieces and nephews, Edward Hilt (Christine), Jackson Hilt, Austin Castanon, Benjamin Hilt, Julie Hilt, Jessica Castanon (Aldo), Elise Hilt and Hannah Castanon; and his cousins, Darla Barrett (John), Jara Barrett and Justin Barrett (Lindsey).
