He is survived by: his wife Marie; his children, Christine Gross, Donald E. Caldwell, Jr. (Jennifer) and Kevin S. Caldwell (Rebecca); and his siblings, Franklin "Jack" Caldwell (Patricia), Marianne Ptaszenski (Michael) and Patricia Collinsworth. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
