He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Elizabeth Pfaffenroth (Jonathan Searight); his grandchildren, Drake and Katherine of Hyattsville, Maryland; his son Peter Pfaffenroth (Sonia); his grandchildren, William, Andrew and Emma of Washington, D. C.; his daughter Catherine Pfaffenroth (David Higgs); his grandson Samuel of Washington, D. C.; and his sister Judith Di Domenico (Charles) of Skillman.
