He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Baltazar Rubio and Andrea Rubio; his wife Mercedes; his children, Emir W. Rubio, Jr., Andrea Coughlin, Baltazar Rubio, Andres Rubio, Vanessa Platania and Veronica Pratt; and his grandchildren, Claudia Rubio, Andres Rubio, Alexander Rubio, Mercedes Pratt, B. Maximilian Rubio, Madeline Rubio, Alexsis Rubio, Emma Coughlin, Shea Coughlin, Brennon Coughlin and Maxton Platania.
Services will be private in accordance with Dr. Rubio's wishes and donations can be made in lieu of flowers in Dr. Emir Rubio's name to Tom Coughlin Jay Fund.
