It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Allen John (Chester, New Jersey), born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 11, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Gilchrist and Reynolds John; and his brother Reynolds John (Christine). He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo John; his daughter Laura Berntsen (Matthew Berntsen); his nephew Stephen John; his stepchildren, Caroline, Lauren Belenski and Christopher Belenski (Bethany Belenski); his grandson John Liam Berntsen; and his sisters, Angela Wilkinson (Keith Troutman), Cindy Erdman (Ken Erdman), Dianne DiGiovanni and Susan Pu (Tony Pu).
