He was predeceased by: his wife Consolacion Lily Arias; and his siblings, Federico, Cosencia, Fabian and Leoba.

He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Arias, Beverly Arias, John Schwartz of Siesta Key, Ruben, Jr. and Francine Arias of Chatham; his grandchildren, Jasmine, Isis, Nyle, Lauren, Brendan and Ryan Arias; his great grandchildren, Lily, Liam and Luna Clermont; and his family Masters.
