It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John F. Shovlin of Chatham, New Jersey, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick John Shovlin and Bridget Agnes Shovlin; and his sister Bridget Mary Shovlin. He is survived by: his siblings, Oonagh McAndrew (Robert), Patrick Shovlin, Jr., Rose Shovlin (Jack Moynihan), William Shovlin, Michael Shovlin (Kristen), Daniel Shovlin (Kellianne) and Monica Shovlin (Chris Baxley); his brother-in-law George Nezlek; his nieces and nephews, Patricia Young (Eric), Robert McAndrew, Jr. (Brittney), Christopher McAndrew (Julia), Danielle Shovlin, Erica Shovlin, Stuart Nezlek, Sam Shovlin, Elizabeth Shovlin Burnett (Michael), Christiana Shovlin, Jack Shovlin, Mary Bridget Shovlin, Liam Shovlin, Colette Shovlin, Griffin Baxley, Gretchen Baxley and Gillian Baxley; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Felicity, Eve, Piper, Sebastian Young, Remi, Phoebe, Annabelle and James McAndrew.
