He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Portalatin and Hermina Portalatin; and his brother Reverend Samuel Portalatin. He is survived by: his spouse Carmen; and his children, Xiomara, Bethsaida and David Jr.. He is also survived by his wife, three children, five grandchildren with one great grandchild on the way as well as six siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
