He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Burt and Cynthia Hickman Burt; his children, Ginger and Walter; and his siblings, Wilbert Burt (Eleanor), Mary Catlett (Jimmy) and Pauline Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his grandchildren, Crystal Burt and Lucas; his great grandchild Ginger Avery; his sister Betty Kienzle (Richard); and his siblings-in-law, Charles Owens, Charles Smith (Kim), Dawne Smith and Danette Wolff (Chris). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
