He was predeceased by: his son Michael Brandl; his parents, Josef Brandl and Johanna Brandl; and his siblings, Joseph, Anton, Martin, John, Wendel Brandl and Juliana Frank.
He is survived by: his spouse Katherine Brandl of Cedar Knolls; his daughters, Maryann Moran (Tim) of Wayne and Linda Brandl of Cedar Knolls; his grandsons, Jonathan Brandl and Joseph Brandl of Pompton Lakes; his daughter-in-law Juliana Brandl of Pompton Lakes; his siblings, Frank Brandl (Patricia), Mathias Brandl (Marie), Rose Sauer (John), Anna Dul, Marie Tatusch, Catherine Terrents (John) and Carol Morocco (Steven); and his sisters-in-law, Johanna Brandl and Elizabeth Brandl. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
