He was predeceased by: his wife Lynette; and his parent Jerry Berdej. He is survived by: his mother Anna Berdej (Hubisz); his brother Bogdan (Tara); his cousin Elizabeth Hanania; his aunt Brygida Sierpowski; his nephew Kevin Berdej, Sr.; his niece Alexandra Berdej; and his great-nephews, Kevin Berdej, Jr., Demitre Keenan and Fallot.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home (49 Whippany Rd, Whippany, NJ 07981). A prayer was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
