He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Sawka and Mary Kranick Sawka; his wife Herlean C. Sawka; his children, Tony, Greg, Doug and Sharon Schneyer (Bill); his grandchildren, Michael, Matthew (Amanda), Jennifer (Justin) and Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Maverick, Clayton and Olivia.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ann, John, Katherine, Harry, Helen, Andrew and Nancy.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Church (60 N Jefferson Rd, Whippany, NJ 07981).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony's memory may be made to the Cedar Knolls Fire Department and Rescue Squad, 82 Ridgedale Ave., Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
