He was predeceased by: his wife Jeannette Burgess; his son George Dirk; his son-in-law Tom Bryan; his parents, Otto Dirk and Rose Dirk; and his siblings, Dorothy Walton, Bertha Sisco and William Dirk.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Dirk of Cedar Grove and Diane Bryan of Vernon; his daughter-in-law Kimberly Dirk of Brick; his grandchildren, Jacqueline and James Bryan; and his great grandchild Aydin Bubay.
