It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melissa Ryan (Carteret, New Jersey), born in South Plainfield, New Jersey, who passed away on March 12, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Ryan. She is survived by: her children, Theresa Setar (Greg), Darlene Ryan-Pimenow (William), Robert Ryan, Jr. (Sue) and Mary Ryan; her grandchildren, Taylor, Genavieve, Tiffany, Skylar, Anthony and Savanna; her great grandchildren, Robert Jolly and Cristina Eden; and her brother Larry Strazenbach (Sue).

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Melissa may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

“It is with deep sorrow that i offer my condolences to theresa, darlene, bobby and mary. I remember how wonderful aunt "joanie" was to us when she and uncle bobby would visit virginia. The years have passed and distances have increased but i often think and pray for our ryan families. May god welcome home aunt joanie and may she rejoice at seeing all of her family in heaven.
