LaCagnina of Carteret, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony LaCagnina and Elsie LaCagnina; and his sisters, Joanne, Concetta and Patricia.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Lori Lang (Dave) of Pittsburgh, PA, Susan Tasnady (George) of Toms River, Jennifer Szemcsak (Jay) of Carteret, NJ, Jaime Stragapede (Phil) of Toms River, Vincent Roccanova (Heather) of Carteret, NJ and Thomas Roccanova (Dana) of Brick, NJ; his brother Robert LaCagnina; his grandchildren, Justin, Koriann, Nicholas, Jarrod, Samantha, Zakary, Jakob, Riley, James and Rocco; and his great grandchild Mia.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Timothy E. Ryan Home For Funerals (145 St Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ 08755). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the B. G. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery (250 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
