He was predeceased by: his children, Benjamin Baez, III and Marisol Baez; and his brother Wilfredo Baez. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Alonso Baez; his children, Sorimal Baez, Wanda Baez-Gomez (Jose) of Jackson, Zoraima Baez of Asbury Park, Norman D. Baez (Danielle) of Middletown, Wilfredo Baez of Carteret and Iris J Melendez (Anthony) of Middletown; and his siblings, Hilda Baez of Orlando, FL, Hector Baez of California and Maribel Baez of Puerto Rico. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
