He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Chambers and Harry Chambers; his son Ryan; his sister Kay Winstel; and his siblings-in-law, Dick Winstel, Irene Emel, Sonja McCarthy, Justin McCarthy, Donald Emel and Bill Blackwell.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen (McCarthy); his daughter Claudine; his son-in-law John Pankok; his granddaughters, Megan of Salem and Erin of Salem; his siblings, Bill (Delores) of Elkton, MD and Dian Bowers (Ted) of Little Rock, AR; and his siblings-in-law, Tommy McCarthy of Salem, Charles McCarthy (Sherry) of Henderson, NV, Alicia Blackwell of Middletown, DE and Margaret McCarthy of Scottsdale, AZ. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
