It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amante N. DeCastro MD of Carneys Point, New Jersey, who passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan DeCastro and Purificacion DeCastro; and his brothers, Thomas and Manuel. He is survived by: his wife Lynn DeCastro; his children, Melissa (Nicholas Sommer) and Amante; and his siblings, Donald DeCastro, Caloy of Castro and Perlas Johr. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many loving relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Dr. Amante N. DeCastro Scholarship at Salem County Vo-Tech School 880 Route 45, Woodstown NJ 08098 in his honor.
