He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy; his sister Karin Carrier; and his parents, Hans Walther and Hedwig Fahrig Vieth. He is survived by: his children, Jane, Linda, Chris (Dana) and Mark (Mhel); his grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica), Annie, Jeny (Sam) and Jeffrey (Reicke); and his great grandchildren, Maeve, Fionnula and Friedrich. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady Star of the Sea Church (525 Washington St, Cape May, NJ 08204, USA).
Immobilizing enzymes was among his contributions to technology with applications in biochemistry, microbiology, medical research, food science and more.
