He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Perlstein and Sadie Andrews Perlstein; his wife Sheila McCabe Perlstein; his daughters, Sally Susan Heyder (Steve Cattron) and Wendy Bodnaruk (Greg Bodnaruk); and his grandsons, Charles Heyder V (Quint) and Jeremy Heyder.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jerry's name are suggested to Animal Outreach of West Cape May or to the Southern New Jersey Food Bank.
