It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rene Velazquez of Camden, New Jersey, who passed away on February 7, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rojelio Velazquez and Monserrate Velazquez (Ruiz); his brother Jose; and his son Francisco Velazquez. He is survived by: his brothers, Ramon and Efrain Velazquez; his close friend Ruth Harney; his children, Melissa, Angela, Lisa, Rene Jr. and Cecelia Velazquez; his siblings, Elvira, Palmira, Rojelio Jr., Francisco and Miguel Velazquez; and his grandchildren, Destiny, Natalie, Angielys, Michael, Jose, Ricardo, Xiomyrielee, Xavier, David, Eliana and Noelis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
