He is survived by: his children, Hilda Vega-Rodriguez (Luis), Liz, Josefina, Manuel, Leonardo "Chico" Vega, Clayton, Carla Chisolm and Blanca Vega; his siblings, Hilda, Nilsa, Miriam, Elva, Angel and Ruben Vega; and his former wife Carmen Vazquez.
