He was predeceased by: his brother Jimmy; and his father Richard E. Seales. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Mojica; his children, Kofi Jr., Kijhana and Kayleen; his grandchild Kato; his siblings, Kojo Ries and Tammy Seales; his mother Sandra Ries; and his nieces, Za'Niyah and Nevaeh. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
