With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Vreeland Kennedy in Camden, New Jersey, born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 19, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nancy Nunez and Walling Vreeland, Jr.; her stepmother Joan Vreeland; and her in-laws, John and Helen Kennedy.
She is survived by: her husband Paul T. Kennedy of Washington, NC; her children, Susan Pryor (Rantz) of Maple Shade, NJ, John Kennedy (Sarah) of Concord, NC and Paul Kennedy, Jr. (Angelica) of Douglasville, GA; her grandchildren, Virginia, Griffin, Savannah, Evangeline, Alexandra, Pablito, Jack and Alyssa; and her brothers, Walling Vreeland, III and Douglas Vreeland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, an organization close to Karen's heart.
