She was predeceased by: her son Vincent Busbee; her parents, Lawrence Riley and Vilet Villepiana; and her siblings, Rudolph, Romana and Audrey.

She is survived by: her children, Maurice Busbee, Sr. (Terese), Sheila Busbee, Vanessa Brooks (Kenneth), Anthony Busbee, Dawn Busbee (Barry), April Busbee (Garin), Tracey Jackson (Dennis) and Joseph Edwards; and her close friend Paula Barros.
