He is survived by: his parents, Gilberto Vargas and Ana Mendoza; his daughter Cynthia Vargas; and his siblings, Jose Vargas, Nory Vargas Ruiz, Gilberto "Jimmy" Vargas and Jerry Vargas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
