She is survived by: her children, David Mejias, Carmen L. Mejias, Jose M. Mejias (Maria Navarro) and Daniel Mejias; her grandchildren, Cristian A. Martinez and Derek Rosas; and her siblings, Elsa M. Rivera, Mary N. Rivera, Ana A. Rivera, Luis A. Droz, Nelson Droz, Jorge A. Droz, Anguel L. Rivera, Mario A. Rivera and Manuel Rivera. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Services for Carmen are being held privately due to the current public health crisis caused by COVID19.
