He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eckwielen and Elizabeth Eckwielen; and his daughter Janice. He is survived by: his wife Judith Eckwielen; his children, Scott Eckwielen, Steven Eckwielen (April) and Jacqueline Eckwielen (Daniel Medina); his grandchildren, Zoie Eckwielen, Jared Eckwielen and Riley Medina; and his sister Marsha Abbey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the David Eckwielen Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Open Cupboard Food Pantry in Clinton, New Jersey .
