It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Paul Card of Butler, New Jersey, born in Paterson, New Jersey, who passed away on July 27, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollis Card and Esther Card (Pettenger); and his son-in-law Kenneth Miller. He is survived by: his daughters, Paula Miller, Mary Gemeinhardt, Katherine McLean (Matthew) and Katie Card (Gregory Barnett); and his siblings, Janet Sanclemente and Jasper Card. He is also survived by grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The delta variant of COVID-19 has caused a recent uptick in positive cases of the coronavirus in New Jersey and more deaths than had been reported a month ago, causing Governor Phil Murphy to recommend that both vaccinated and unvaccinated residents wear masks at indoor public gatherings where there might be increased risk of infection.
