She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Newton and Marie Newton. She is survived by: her children, John and Maggie; and her siblings, Paula Lavorgna of Oak Ridge, NJ, Kate Elliott of Seven Lakes, NC, Frank, John of Hamburg, NJ, Kevin of Rockaway, NJ and Patrick of Raleigh, NC.. She is also survived by father, uncles, brother, and son.
In lieu of flowers, Karen's family has requested donations be made in her name to the VFW Post 8096 Butler, NJ, the VA New Jersey Health Care System East Orange Campus, or to the American Lyme Disease Foundation.
