It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Whelan of Burlington, New Jersey, born in Burlington City, New Jersey, who passed away on May 21, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James T. Whelan, Jr.; her parents, Garett Gauntt and Phyllis Gauntt; and her siblings, Margaret Horn, Helen Basilone, Robert Gauntt, Edward Gauntt and Harry Gauntt.
She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Sullivan (Joseph), Joseph Whelan (Margaret) and Theresa Hamlin (William). She is also survived by her brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Facial coverings and social distancing are still required for indoor events.
Contributions in her memory made to the Delanco Public Library, 1303 Burlington Ave., Delanco, NJ 08075 would be appreciated by her family.
