He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Shields and Mary Shields. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Chris, John (Dana) and Megan (Jordan); and his siblings, Tom, Jim and Mary Lou (Barbara). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
