He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter J. Vandenberg and Charlotte Steinbach; his son John K. Vandenberg; his brothers, Peter Vandenberg and Christian Vandenberg; and his siblings-in-law, Helmut and Monika Ossiboff.
He is survived by: his wife Ingrid Vandenberg (Lutter) of Buena, NJ; his daughter Karen J. LeCompte (Vandenberg) of Ft. Pierce, FL.; his half-brother Anthony (Ruth Steinbach) of Nurnberg, Germany.; and his siblings-in-law, Ursula Barbeck (John) of Vineland, NJ, Gladys Vandenberg of Vineland, NJ, Horst Lutter (Inge) of Vineland, NJ, Klaus Lutter (Edith) of Vineland, NJ and Gerd Lutter of New Hampshire.
