He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Pettigano (Cole); his children, Dawn Marie Schafer (John), Heather Pierson, Kenny Pierson (Teresa) and Gregory Pierson (Linda); his siblings, Glen Pettigano (Linda) and Gail Koril (Doug); his grandchildren, Hannah, Jonah, Selah, Elijah, Brittany, Diamond, Tommy (Lauren), Briana, Renee (Roy), Calvin, Christopher, Kyle, Patrick (Ashley), Aria, Madison, Amelia, Michael, Shaina and Joseph; his nieces and nephews, Michael (Meg), Melissa, Gina (Joe), Geoffrey (Samantha), Stephen (Julie) and Timothy; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Angelina, Isabella, James, Samuel, Oliver and Benjamin.
