He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nelson Russell and Elisabeth Russell of Buffalo; his wife Bernadette Russell; his daughters, Heather Jane Russell (Timothy Mayopoulos) and Holly Russell Tyson (Jeffrey Tyson); his grandchildren, Luke Russell Tyson, Cole Bailey Tyson, Spencer Russell Koenig and Amelia Jane Koenig; his siblings, Richard Clinton Russell and Jane Russell Freeman (Bruce Freeman); and his pet Willow. He was also cherished by two nieces and a nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Buffalo Bills Foundation, which addresses child hunger in Western New York.
