He is survived by: his children, Dianalynne Pennington, Jennifer Pennington-Flynn, Scott and Kevin Gray Ward; his grandchildren, Kaya, Jason, Darius and Ashley; and his siblings, Henry Ward, James Pennington Jr. and Judy Pennington.
