He was predeceased by: his parents, Mureall W. Hyson and Mary Hyson (Chuchola); his wives, Barbara L. Hyson and Patricia L. Hyson; his daughter Betty Lou Hyson; his son-in-law Stephen Cherry; his stepson Donald Shaffer; and his brother David M. Hyson.
He is survived by: his pet Tin Tin; his daughters, Tracy Wilson (Michael), Lisa Stuart (Jim), Linda Cherry, Debi Westcott (Ken Damm) and Beth Ann Irvine (Rich); his grandchildren, Kevin Connell (Melody), Tyler Stuart, Jenna Hudock (William), Corey Gant (Jackie), Logan Westcott (Adam Gamber), Aubrey Irvine and Kelsey Irvine; his great grandchild Wyatt Lee Gant; his stepchildren, Douglas Shaffer, Teresa Turpin (Mike), Wendy Shaffer, Ronald Shaffer (Connie) and Bridgette Howard (John); and his sisters, Elaine Urion, April Hickerson and Hollie Chapman.
