He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Hildebrand and Marjorie Hildebrand (Carper); his wife Ruth; his sons, Joshua (Christina) and Nate; his grandson Luke; his daughter Abigail Lore (Robert); and his grandchildren, Ella and Christopher.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
